Hartley Residential is led by professionals who are passionate about property and community growth. Together, our team brings a mix of industry knowledge, creative vision, and project management expertise to every development.

Shannon Hartley - Director

A seasoned construction professional with a strong foundation in carpentry and project management. With over 20 years of experience, Shannon has been instrumental in delivering numerous successful projects, from residential homes to large-scale developments.

Shannon’s career began in Australia in 2006, where he honed his skills as a carpenter and built over 70 homes. In 2016, he relocated to London and quickly immersed himself in the construction industry. Over the next four years, he gained valuable experience working on various development projects before venturing into independent development.

With a keen eye for detail and a strategic approach, Shannon has successfully developed six million pounds’ worth of real estate in just 2 years. His expertise in project management, construction, and planning ensures efficient and cost-effective project delivery.

Alia Beyg - Architect

The founder and CEO of AQUA Architecture Ltd has a track record of driving marquee development projects across the globe. She has a passion for maximising efficiency and sustainable design, which has been an important focus during her years as a Chartered Architect.

Qualifying at the Bartlett (UCL) in early 2000, Alia launched her career as an architect in her home city of London. It was here that she began to produce concept designs, along with planning and construction packages for several established firms. In 2007, she went on to lead the design and construction of high-profile projects in the Middle East.

Returning to the UK in early 2013, Alia founded AQUA Architecture to truly express her unique vision for maximising value in design. AQUA has grown rapidly in a variety of project sectors with Innovation at its core. Alia has a sense of social responsibility and has been active in welfare projects supporting stressed communities in Africa and Asia. She has volunteered her Architectural expertise to assist with the building of schools, community centers, and shelters in these locations.

Jonathan McDermott - Planning Consultant

Jon began his planning career at Portsmouth City Council in 2002 and, since this tim,e has been involved in major developments on sites within the City and throughout the UK. Jon’s speciality is urban development and flood risk, and he frequently achieves EA acceptance of Flood Risk Assessments. In 2012, he became the first planner in Portsmouth in five years to achieve new dwellings in the High Hazard Flood Risk Area.

Jon has been in private consultancy since April 2010 and is presently Principal Town Planner for the Town Planning Experts. In line with his Local Government experience, Jon specialises in urban development and has developed a deep understanding of local plan policy and process for authorities across the UK. He uses this knowledge and experience to find solutions to issues arising in development opportunities.
